97 Monte fuel pump

Do I need to drop the tank to change the fuel pump or can I get to it from the trunk ?

Re: 97 Monte fuel pump

Drop the tank and I do have some advice. Here is the advice if you want to do it once, Stay away from aftermarket fuel pumps from Carter and Airtex. Most aftermarket companies turn down warranty claims and call it improper instalation.Go with an AC Delco fuel pump although it is more money.Went through this on my cousin's car,put in three aftermarkets in a row and failed right away.Put in an AC Delco pump in and has not come back ever since.Change the fuel filter also, part of the warranty and a must since the old fuel filter is full of dirt and crap that will ruin the new pump.
