Cool

This is a very confused car.
I hear it can be easily coaxed into controlable oversteer, which would be quite fun. It has a 3L V6 with 225 hp, not exactly the best engine in the world.. Also, the 'box is set for relaxed touring, which is out of this cars nature.
Yup, if you buy one, you will have to tune it. That is a very big job, as the engine bay (which is behind the seats) will have to be drasically changed. But get on a turbo, cams, high-compression pistons, and all that jazz and you could get 550 hp, then put on a new 'box, and away you go. The body looks quite mad, though.
Heres the performance: 0-60 in 6 seconds, 138mph top speed, could someone post the quarter, please. I wouldn't buy one, but the first year is already sold out, so maybe I'm alone.

I hate Renault for the decission they made for that car. I mean 225hp are good but they easily could set the engine the same way as the Clio Trophy was or at least the original sport setting means 278hp(I still have the pressrelease of that at home)

Renault Sport Clio V6 is awesome! I don't care for performance, but it's looks could pull it even on my list w/ the BMW M Coupe!

IMO they should have released the Trophy with interior that would be a sporty hatchback comparable to the M Coupe

The first Clio V6 was not perfect. The new one has been modified. The engine develops now 255 hp.

Cool

The new one is coming for June 2003 ! 255 hp and future evolutions are expected (275hp)
Alas the price is not in my range 39 000 € (US$41 000, £25 000).

Talking Vive la France

It's the look, it's the nature of the car, it's like a animal, it's dangerous... it's a Clio V6.
But still a Renault Spyder covers my dreams

the Clio is cool, but the Spyder is aesthetically too much like a go-kart for my liking

Yes indeed the Spyder looks more like a Go-Kart, but have you ever heard of something like "Love on first sight ?" :flash:

The Clio V6 is made for the steet.
In Australia, the Clio RS 172hp is already available, but not the V6 already alas.

Have a look at this page : http://www.renault.com.au/
