Wet Astro

Have a situation with a 1990 Astro van. It seems that someone tried to drive thru standing water knee high. Which in turned stalled......... Simple enough.. Now it will not even turn over........ I'm thinking it lost connection possibly at the starter?...........

Re: Wet Astro

Hydro lock............ seems to be. I dropped by to check, and the plugs have water on the ends......... plus the breather was full of water........ Getting to the plugs is very easy....... :-(( They were still trying to get two off when I decided to leave......... Suggested that they just put pontoons on the side, and forget it................

Yeah, it's not going to be much fun on an Astro, by the time you get to all you need to do to make it right you might just be looking at putting a new engine in. It might be covered by your insurance as damage other than collision (comprehensive insurance) even if you don't have full coverage. Call your insurance agent. They may even pay for the pontoons and tow boat.
