R.I.P Mustang 5.0

About an hour ago, me and my fiance were coming back from dinner. I stop at a light and this minivan pulls up next to me in the center lane. Then I hear him rev at me, and I'm thinkin, damn thats pretty mean sounding for a minivan. He revs again, and I'm thinking, does he really wanna race? The light changes, and neither of us launch, but I hear a chirp of tires and off goes this red Mustang Five-O Convertible with huge chrome rims and a roll bar. He is wavving to us as he leaves...he musta thought he smoked me or something. I catch up to it at the next light and there goes that same revving again...of course it was him (not the minivan, man, i feel like a dumbass for thinking that). So I say fine you little bastardo, lets race. He revs and I'm like :right:, then I rev back....the look on his face sort of changes (I was drivin my '79 vette, its one of those old cars with the deep throaty engine note that shakes the ground). I check around for cops (and other people) and there aren't any (except for that minivan and an escort, both behind us). The light changes and I spin the tires. He launches pretty well, with only chirp from the tires (I'm thinkin maybe thats all he capable of ) and goes. After I get traction I started to pull on him. The sad thing is, I was concentrating so hard on shifting and watching the road at the same time that I don't really know when I left him behind. I just looked into the rearview mirror when I shut down at about 100, and he was probably 5-6 car lengths back. It felt good to put that cocky ass in his place, especially with Tracy in the car...:coolguy:

Yeah, I know, its nothing to be proud of, killing that poor 5.0, but it just felt good. Anyone else have any recent kills they'd like to share?

glad you enjoyed it Maybe igor should change the name of the forum from road kills to kill stories, or something like that....it would be a lot less confusing.

Fear the mini's there's a few 12 second ones out there dont wanna get beat by a mini with the wife in the car

i've heard of turboed 12 sec minivans but I never thought it was true....maybe I'll think twice next time one of those soccer moms revs on me

Man, the sad thing is those minis both weigh about 400 lbs less than either of my vettes

Newsflash! This thread is 4 years old. 18wheelertrucker, please check the dates on these before you reply to them. It helps us all when the older stories are left alone, so we don't go back to reading things that happened a while back.
