Gear Grinding
Hello guys, I am a newbie to this forum and to cars in general, so please bare with me. Today I was in a hurry and accidently put my Honda Accord 2007 (automatic) in park (shifting past reverse) while the car was still coming to a stop, this caused a loud grinding noise. When I put the car back in gear it jumped (equivalent of letting go of the clutch too quickly on a stick). Could this have caused any internal damage? This is the first time it has happened, and it's a new car.
Sorry if I sound stupid, the sound just worried me

Re: Gear Grinding
Could have. If any metal shavings got loose the filter should have gotten them though. If you're really worried, have the trans flushed and filled.
