I can't find out why the right rear brake lamp won't come on when I turn the lights on, it works when I apply the brakes. Please HELP!!!

Do you mean tail light? Stop lights work only when the brakes are applied. If you mean tail light check the bulb. If the bulb is good check for 12 volts on the red input wire.

The bulb is good, no voltage on the red wire,there is 12 volts on the drivers side though. The right side reverse light won't work either. bulb is ok there also.

Did you check for voltage to the reverse light? Start looking for damage to the harness.

how are the bulb sockets........are they corroded......make sure that you have a good ground. I had alot of problems with that until I yanked all of the wiring and started over.

Good advice from everyone, my son solved the problem. He noticed that I had the connections reversed! I am very good on mechanical stuff, I suck at any thing electrical!!!
