97 Saturn sc2 will not start
My 97 saturn sc2 would not start one day after a lot of stop and go driving on a hot day. The car doesn't do anything when i turn the key. I have replaced the starter, battery, and belt tentioner in the past 5 months and all those parts seem to still be functioning properly. I checked all fuses that i could visibly check, and found no problems. I checked the brake switch and it was fine, but I could not find the park switch. Another weird bit of information is that the power locks stoped working at the same time.
any help would be appreciated, i have no idea where to look thanks in advance ryan |

Re: 97 Saturn sc2 will not start
Does the dome light work? Headlights? If not, you've got a battery or battery cable/terminal problem.

Re: 97 Saturn sc2 will not start
might be battery cables, but i would first get a jump start and see if the car stays running by itself, if not check the alternator

I broke down and took it to the saturn dealership. Problem is the keyless entry module, which also has the saturn security system in it. They said they could bypass the module by grounding it for a price of 300.00. To replace the module it will be 815.00. Hope this will help someone else out.

Eh, this is wrong twice. For one, you're thinking of wiring in SERIES. Two, Saturns are not all wired in series so that if one thing stops working everything does. Haven't seen a car wired in series since the 30's or 40's. |

This doesn't mean that these components are wired in series, it simply means that they are all powered by the same source voltage. There's a difference. |
