Van Weight?

Has anyone ever weighed thier conversion van? I`m buying new tires and was needing info on what rating to get. The Mich. are 1940 lbs at 35 psi and the toyo are 2200 at 44 psi. What`s your thought on this?

Re: Van Weight?

Find someone with a set of scales that can weight it.
Grain elevators, scrap yard dealers, truck weigh stations.

If it does not weigh over 8000 total weight.
Either one would be good.

On the tires ratings you need to compare them at the same pressure.
I think the weight rating may be different at different air pressure.

A good tire shop should be able to help you decide on what tire to use.

Re: Van Weight?

I just bought new tires and I tow a boat in the summer and don't want to be changing a tire when it's 104 out so I just went ahead and put 6 ply truck tire on. and my van is about 6500 lbs. it's a truck with a bed and tv

How did you wind up in a 1 and 1/2 year old dead thread? Please look at the dates before posting, thanks.
