Problems starting w/ key after tranny replacement

I just replaced the tranny in my 2003 Chevy Impala 3400. Went to start the car up with the key and it wouldn't start. Could this be a problem with the Passlock Security System? If so, how do you reset it? Do I have to take it to the dealer?

One other thing I noticed... the indicator that tells what gear the car is in on the dash of the speedometer isn't working anymore. Anyone know what the fix could be for that?

did you do it yourself? You may have left a few things unplugged. Double check and have someone check behind you. Doesnt a\make sense to affect anything.
