Hesitation/jerk from a stop
Hopefuly, someone is familiar with this problem and help fix it.
Taking off from a dead stop, I can feel a slight sputter/jerk/hesitation for a few seconds. I doesn't do it in any other gear and/or condition, temp doesn't seem to matter either. Do I have a bad TPS (do I even have a TPS)? Do I have a bad U-joint? Do I have a bad motor mount? Oh, almost forgot it's an 01 S10 extended 2.2L w/41K miles. This truck is a total POS and has less balls than a woman. |

Re: Hesitation/jerk from a stop
No check engine light on.
I didn't realize what power I was giving up when I dumped my 3800 motor for this 2.2L. Based on the pep that my girl's cavalier has, I didn't expect such a dog of a truck. |

Re: Hesitation/jerk from a stop
Even though it's low milage, it's still old enough to need spark plugs and sparkplug wires. A friend at work has one and recently a tune-up smoothed his out.
When he drives his the speed limit, he gets 27mpg...try that with a 4.3 6banger...lol |
