Re: Need help installing Pioneer DVD Player

I think a lead is connected to your head/brain from either the gear selector or a relay,
either way you can find it with the wiring diagram or a meter...
the lead your looking for will energize/de-energize, (depending on the design), when you go in and out of gear...
if you can disconnect it, and your tv works then your good...
if not you just have to fool it by duplicating the state it's in while in park...

Re: Need help installing Pioneer DVD Player

so basically, he knows which pin it is for some models so he makes a harness with a blank spot over that pin...
but for some models, he don't have a harness, just instructions on how to bypass or get to the pin yourself...
I would try to figure it out by searching a couple of forums and comparing your answers, this is the one he sells for your radio...

yea that basicaly is what it comes down to untill you get to alpines where you have to brake then pull th ebrake then put the ebrake down and then back up. so alpine is the only company really the needs a bypass device.
