before i vote i wanna know what kinda competiotion we are looking at. rally, road, track, drag, overall, bang for buck? these cars are all from very different areas well not really but the skyline is and where is the REX seems kinda odd to have a AWD challenge without one.

go to an search site and type it in and search for images

here is one http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q= and then type one in

you have to remember that all these cars were in rally and all raced on the track so depending on wich of them did the best (the skyline got axed from rally cause it kept on wining and from the races in australia because of the same reason) the delta evo and cosworth are all rally ledgends and you still see them on the roads today with high out puts i don't now about the delta cause i haven't seen one in australia but i now it was a great raly car. so this comapro would be for the over all car the good parts and the bad parts of each car.

the gtr is in normal form, the evo in rs form, the escort in cosworth(the best of the range in escorts) and the delta integrale is in evo form.

I have never seen a Skyline GTR set up as a rally car.
The last factory surported Nissan rally car was the GTiR Pulsar.

Im sure some Japanese nutta has rallyed a GTR at some time, but they are far to big and heavy to be any good on gravel. Especialy when compared to the smaller and ligher WRX, and EVO's. (they also don't meet the WRC requierments for power and weight, and I have feeling the HIACS would not like Gravel very much.)

Anyway of the Above it would be a hard choise between the Lancia, and the Mitsi.
The Lancia has History, and breeding, But it would be troublesome and expensive to run and maintian.
The Mitsi however would be just as fast, but in a more efficant japanese manner.

The GTR is to big and heavy for me, great road car, but not my idea of a great track car.
And the Escort, well its a Ford.

All fine cars, only one legend: Lancia Delta Integrale EVO

Skyline does have some history, but the Lancia changed history: it re-wrote the record books

ps the voting doesnt work

The cosworth is certainly not a rally legend. It achieved nothing, no championships. The Lancia won the title 6 years running, '87, '88, '89, '90, '91, and '92, retiring there and then at the top of world rally, making it the most successful rally car of all time. Now that's legendary. The Lancia is a phenomenal road car, unbelievable steering feel, handling to shame an impreza, performance, and of course the looks. its rarer and more prestigious than the rest of these cars, a car for connoisseurs.

Where did you hear that they arent reliable? As far as i know from owners and guides, they are very reliable if you treat them well.. they do need a lot of care though... i wouldnt mind

A lot of care indeed.
But if you buy a Lancer or an Impreza, i guess you'd have less problems using your car in classic conditions... I've a Delta (a new one !) and have to be very carefully, so an Integrale it's worse.
Though, it's surely the best rally car on the list below, if you've money.

Impreza's and Lancer's arent as reliable as i thought they would be... ive heard stories of a Lancer eating gearbox after gearbox after gearbox.... ok the car is driven hard but it must withstand this kind of driving! thats what its built for!

I meant that a Delta is a fragile car. You've to be careful with it. I don't really know about the reliability of the Lancer, it's not very likeable in France. The Sub and the Delta are more sold. And btw the both, I guess there is one which is more "breakable"... don't you think ?

ah yes, in this respect the Integrale is more fragile.. i thought you meant running reliability..... this has to be the case, the Integrale was designed well before the Impreza or Lancer.... the fact it can keep up with them is remarkable.. i would choose one over those two any day of the week

Of course, the Integrale is maybe the best in running.
