Dirty Rims

So i have been trying to find a great way to clean my rims.
I'll explain what I have done so far, used steal wool and scrubbed the tires, tried acetone on the wheels to clean them. Neither worked so the I went and picked up some Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner.

And that didn't work, and that is what was the last thing I used and what the picture is of after all that work and they still look like that. The worst part is that they actually look better than they did after I bought the car a month ago.

Re: Dirty Rims

You know what I use? Dish soap! LOL Seriously, because those stock "rims" aren't exactly the best so I just use dish soap and use a dish sponge with the rough side scrubbing the rims. I figured once I actually get some nice rims then I'll really take care of it but until then, I don't care too much. Haha Oh, and if you buy those wet tire look sprays, they usually hit the rims when you spray the tire so just take a paper towel to wipe up the liquid that hits the rims and it'll give your rims a nice glossy look. Good luck!

Re: Dirty Rims

Tried the engine degreaser, didn't work what so ever on my wheels. I was gettin annoyed by the crap on my wheels. Then I noticed my mom's stupid little SOS pads for cleaning pots and pans.

WORKED GREAT!!, only now have some little bit in the corners or the really bad brake dust in some of the pits. Thanks for the help tho, really appreciated.

Re: Dirty Rims

all of the above mentioned products work. you just have to add a little elbow grease .

Re: Dirty Rims

I worked on my wheels for 3 hours with the SOS pad. A half with the degreaser, I expected it to work on my wheels but it didnt work at all.

So yea I have a little elbow grease behind me, expecially when it comes to my car.
