Power window
Hi all, my drivers side power window suddenly quit. (obviously with the glass down). It actually "sort of" works, but you need to aide the motor with your hands to get the glass all the way up. Should I assume that it's the motor? It's getting juice, but I understand that there is a regulator involved as well, and my question is could that also possibly be the problem? I'm hoping to only tear the door apart once.
Thanks!

Re: Power window
Probably the lift motor...before giving up, pull the panel, clean the tracks and regulator, make sure a guide didn't fall apart, soak the lift motor with WD-40, and make sure the drains aren't blocked where the door is filling with water when it rains, grease the moving parts with white lithium grease...then see what happens.
Sometimes if they have been getting wet, or the window isn't able to move easily, this brings them back to life...
