leaking anti-freeze at elbow
I found a leak at the elbo on the lower intake manifold. Is there a way of replacing or fixing the elbo without removing the lower intake

Re: leaking anti-freez at Elbo
Your post has been moved to the regular Grand Prix forum from Tips & Maintenance.
All you'll need to do is remove the alternator and the main drive belt tensioner assembly to replace the 90 degree coolant elbow. LIM does not get removed. You can leave the heater hoses connected to the tensioner assembly. Be sure to replace the 2 o-ring seals in addition to the elbow. Link below has the removal procedure. Click here

Re: leaking anti-freez at Elbo
I'm quite sure you can do the job. Best to go with the GM elbow and o-rings. I would replace the elbow because there is a high probabiity it has a crack or will break upon removal. Many of us have noted deteriation during closer inspection.
Dorman/Motormite makes aftermarket elbows but they are flimsy and cheap.
