changing heads?

I was wondering if switching out my N/A head for vr4 heads/ cams would do anything for power, or are they the same?

Re: changing heads?

ehh, they would do a little bit for power, but unless you're doing a TT conversion, i would say its not worth it. if you really want some heads that flow better, get your NA heads ported and polished, or just get some of the staged heads that DR (dynamicracing.com) sells. they DO sell staged heads for the NA cars, even though its not listed on their site.

Re: changing heads?

VR4 heads will flow better than NA heads. As for the cams the intake cams are identical for NA and VR4. The NA exhaust cam is actually better than the VR4 exhaust cam

Re: changing heads?

ok, so do you think it would it be worth eventually buying some on ebay and changing the exhaust cams out?

Re: changing heads?

Unless you plan on going balls out... no. THe gain wont be significant enough to make it worth it in my opinion.
