A/C not cooling

1997 Continental is not cooling down. Before I take it to the repair shop, is there anything I can do (like put a can of freon in) or something that is restricting this cold?

You should 1st put the system in test mode to see if everything checks out.

Re: A/C not cooling

Took the car to an A/C repair shop in town. They had to shoot 2.1 pds of freon in the system and I think it holds about 3 lbs. They also put some oil that has dye in it and then checked for leaks. NO LEAKS!! What a happy day! And freezing cold air comes out of the vents now.
