so many questions so little time
I own a 96 geo tracker, 4 wheel drive, automatic. I've already made a few basic mods, cold air intake, ATS chip, side pipe, hollowed cat., plugs and wires. is there anything els I can do to my 1.3 liter? I cant find any after market turbos.
What kind of engine swaps are available? can i swap both suzuki or chevrolet motors? I also have in my possesion a charburated v6 engine out of an older camaro, could i swap this into my geo? and if so, would i need to chop out the front axel because of the 4 wheel drive? P.S I need to find a quick fix for horsepower, ive already agreed to race this car for pinks in 9 months against a smallblock powered s10 . |

Going to any engine other than a I4 will require a different computer, even a lot of 4 cylinder engines will have different sensors, etc that won't switch over. In many locations it's illegal to swap a much bigger engine due to emmissions standards... but since you hollowed out your cat, you obviously don't care or it's not applicable where you are.

Cancel that race, don't tell me you signed a legal contract or anything.
This is what Tracker/Sidekick and Samurai owners do to their rides. http://bbs.zuwharrie.com/content/topic,18791.30.html 4 wheelin'. Big ass tires, lifting it to the sky, and cutting up the body to make it all fit. there is also a guy on that site swapping in a 4.3 from an astro, a 4 speed tranny, and Dana 44s onto his 88 samurai, just an example of what you can do if you're willing to put in the money, time, and work like i mentioned. Its probably a lot harder on a newer vehicle like yours but still, not totally impossible. Here is a site with all the "bolt ons" you could possibly do. http://www.calmini.com/ Nothing good enough to beat an S-10 on the street, but can turn your ride into a nice "mini-Wrangler". Take it to Montana or Utah or something and enjoy the trails.

They're real good for offroading. I saw one with 32s on the trail once... that thing could go anywhere as long as the hill wasn't too steep. Looked like a big, enclosed ATV
Wanna race vs my truck... or car for pinks? I'll even give ya $100 back on it. I wouldn't mind having a little one for offroading, might be able to afford to go more than a few times per year.

Step one: Remove the tracker body from the chassis
Step two: Remove the body from any Vette, Camaro, Mustang, Charger r/t, etc. chassis Step three: Place the Tracker body on the Vette, Camaro, Mustang or Charger, etc. chassis. Step four: Race. Step five: Reverse the above and brag about how the Tracker beat the S-10.
