1993 JGC RPM Problems
Hey crew, its simple & hoping someone can give a clarification. I’m driving to work and doing a steady 65 mph (give or take). I notice my Jeep looses power by slightly jerking and my RPS jump down and jump back as I hold the pedal steady. This continues for a few minutes or two and then goes away and the Jeep Continues to work fine. What is up with that? I want to take care of this before it gets out of hand. 1993 JGC L6 - 4.0L. Thanx crew.

Re: 1993 JGC RPM Problems
Either a bad CPS, and the jeep is getting ready to stall, seen this many times, where it will stall at highway speed then restart on it's own. Or it could also be the Torque Converter locking and unlocking - I would look more toward the CPS.

Re: 1993 JGC RPM Problems
"CPS" is crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor - also "CPK".
Have you tried to retrieve fault codes? |
