exhaust threat?

I am currently in the middle of a exhaust exchange, and i have been running my 4.0 with just the pipe that comes off of the headers(YPipe im assuming?)
i can tell a noticable drop in idle revs, but will this hurt anytime soon?

Re: exhaust threat?

Will cause there to be less back pressure for the engine but if it's only for a day or two it won't cause any problems. The only exhaust I've got on mine is to the cat converter then straight out the side in front of the rear passenger tire.
