93 3.0 ignition timing
I suspect the timing on my son's 93 3.0 Ranger is out. The mileage has gone south, it you have to crank it longer to start. I can not for the life of me find the spout connector for this thing. The label under the hood says it is there but I don't know where. I tried to trace it using the one on my F150 as a guide, but still no luck. Also, there is one side of a black barrel shaped connector
hanging loose behind the distributor. It has two wires, an orange and a black/yellow, but I can't find what it plugs into. I tried using a mirror to look back there, it is really tight to the fire wall. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: 93 3.0 ignition timing
Yippee!! I found the spout connector!!! It is up inside the metal work right behind and slightly above the driver's side headlight. Seems like a long round-a-bout way to get form the PCM to the distributor.
Noe if some one could tell me what the unused connector behind the distributor should be plugged into. |

Re: 93 3.0 ignition timing
I will try to post a picture this evening. If not, it will have to wait a couple of weeks until I get back from a canoe trip.
