Revell Ferrari F430

Here's my F430. Lowered the ride height (it was sitting like an SUV)! The front tires are too small, as everyone knows, but lowering it really helped. Paint is Duplicolor Gunmetal with their clear coat. Rims were painted to match. Interior is a home accents beige I picked up from home depot. Straight box stock.

The flakes look HUGE with the flash, but in normal light, it doesn't look out of scale. The grain is very fine, similar to Tamiya X-10.

On the painting tree.... Along with the rear view mirrors... And the exhaust tips... And the third brake light... And the license plate decal....

This is almost a WIP!

Looks great.I really like the colour you have painted the body with.It really suits the shape of the car and the seat colour contrasts very nicely with it.The colour coded wheels also add a lot to the model. You must be a very busy modeller.I noticed you have quite a few projects on the go at the minute.

I think incomplete modeler would be a better choice! I can ge them almost done, then lose interest. That's why I'm missing tail lights, license plate, etc. I have about 18 models in some sort of progress so far. I'm going to try and do WIPs on all of them to motivate me to finish.

Both the Duplicolor gunmetal and the clear were shot straight from the can. I haven't had much luck decanting and airbrushing. I guess you'd have to thin with lacquer thinner. I wiped some lacquer thinner on a rag on a Revell 612 and it made the plastic soft and sticky. Once it dried, it seemed to be OK. I've had decent results from the can.
