altenator

i tooke it off and when i did i didnt pay attention to how the wires were when they came off but on the back there is a 10 mm bolt and there are 2 wires that go to that general area and ones red and ones black and one got to positive terminal and the other goes down around the exhaust manifold somwhere its a 91 s10 blazer 4.3 4wd thatnx

I don't get what your trying to say. There is a larger red wire that connects to the rear of the alternator. It is nonnected to a stud with a 10mm nut. There is also a connector that connects to the side of the alternator, I don't remember but I think it has a red, and black or tan wire. Other than that, I don't think there is any other connections.

I don't know about '91s, but I just replaced mine in the '97, and 2 wires connected to the bolt on the back of the alternator. 1 wire goes to the battery, the other wire goes to the starter.
1 wire was red, the other was either dark blue, or black.
