Perform Service - Reset

Ok, I know this may be a bone headed question - But how do you reset the Perform Service" indicator on the overhead console? I have a 99 Grand Limited and the darn thing is beeping like crazy. I am hitting the reset button on the overhead console but nothing happens...

I think the buttons on may be bad on that console... any /all advice is appreciated

Hold down the Reset button and the Step button on the right (with the display showing Perform Service) simultaneously.
Reset it to the mileage interval reminder you want.
