hollow noise
Hi all I feel like this guy
I have a 99 standard Saturn and about a month ago it started to make a hollow noise which has gotten louder. It does not make this noise in neutral only when I am driving down the road and levels out in 5th gear as a hollow noise. As I am to fat to fit under the car as the wife drives it down the road in order to get a better idea where the noise is coming from I thought I would ask some of you guys here what you think it might be. |

Re: hollow noise
Driving today I noticed if I was driving straight the noise stayed at a constant level, if I went around a corner to the left it seemed to get a little louder, and if to the right the noise disappeared, so it would seem to be something tied to the steering of the vehicle.
I could fix this problem if I just drove around in circles to the right but I get dizzy to fast and only end back where I started. |

Re: hollow noise
i've heard it called a hollow noise more like a whine or growling noise but i beleave you are describing a bad wheel bearing
