3000gt vs the Legendary........

Well it is in fact an Acrua "Legend". Got off of work and some guy was trying to me to race him on the road for a while but since I had a car right in front of me in my lane I advised myself agiast it We finally do catch a red light and he asks if I am turbo'd and said no and he replied back that he was close to stock so then we waited. The light turned green and we both spun for a bit but he got about a car or so on me by the time we got to 40 mph because he can get off the line so much damn quicker than I am because I have a less ballin ATX unlike his MTX. I start to approach 60 and I am gaining on him steadily as I make my way through my never ending long long gears and then as I have about 4 feet or so left to catch back up to him the light in front of us turns red so I put on the skids, he turned left and I went right to the interstate. Not much but I haven't really got to do a stop light race in a while. The Legend was a 99TL I believe.

While I can get off the line faster with a break and gas I won't do it. I have gone through 3 transmissions since owning the car so I refuse to put any unessecary abuse on it if I can. I did have the faster car in the long race as I was steadily gaining on him but as I said before......I had to put on the skids lol.

Ohhhh it only puts abuse on the torque converter a little. Tell ya what, if you break yours, i'll give you the one in my garage. Now get out there and launch!

I find that if you mash the gas and an instant later let go of the brake you get a great launch in an auto. It take some practice but I killed my brother in is manual.
