Re: question about fuel mileage

2005 Yukon 5.3, 4.10 gears. Warm weather, 15 mpg town (not city)/rural driving, 14-15 mpg towing 5200 lb load highway/rural. 18.5-20 mpg highway NOT exceedeing 64 mph and mileage goes down like a rock above 65 mph. Cold weather is about 1-1½ mpg less.

Re: question about fuel mileage

I do not presently own one, but have had several Suburbans in the past with the 5.7. I usually averaged about 15 in the city and 20 if lucky on the highway.

I was talking to a guy in a parking lot this past weekend who was just getting in to his 06 or 07 Yukon. I asked him that same question and his terse reply was "16.2", not 16 or 16 1/2, but 16.2. He seemed a bit irritated that I even asked him the question.
