Thumbs down 93 Lincoln Continental Radio/Electrical Problem

when i play my cd or radio it plays but no sound. It sometimes cuts in and out. Its not my cd player cuz i plugged it into my friends car and then it works. Someone was saying my stock amp thats in the trunk is going on. Few days lateri go to start my car and everything is dead. Nothing wrongs and i can hear a humming sound coming from the trunk. Its the box thats on the drivers side right behind the seat (has the antenna plug and harness that goes to the cd player to that. I tried to jump it but it wouldnt start but i had power again but when i took the jumper cables off i lost everyhting. I NEED SOME HELP

Re: 93 Lincoln Continental Radio/Electrical Problem

Sounds like you'd better have the Battery / Alternator verified good before suspecting anything else.

The 'box' in the trunk, there's actually several, is the RCU (radio control unit) or AMP (speaker amp, or sub amp).

Cellular phone has additional goodies back there.
