Re: rear end

An 8.5" 3.08 w/rear disc brakes out of a '94-'96 9C1 is a bolt-in replacement, provided you get the driveshaft that goes with the donor car.

My '88 is running a '94 9C1 rear axle set. Works grrreeeeaaaaatttt!

Re: rear end

Wouldn't a 94 already have an 8.5" rear? Especially if he has a LT1? And he'd should have 3.08s too with an LT1.

How have you verified your 7.5" and 2.73s?

Well, that explains the 2.73 gears. Anyways, junkyards, etc. I picked mine up for $130 complete.

CD, the civilian LT1 cars typically come with 2.93 gears, but I do think you're right in that it should be an 8.5".

I gotta come down to AZ sometime and get a truckload of parts. Cheap, rust-free stuff.
