Are the 3.1 heads reliable???

I have seen many posts with poor reviews on the lower intake gaskets and any time someone mentions a coolant loss, everyone first mentions the LIG. I had a coolant loss and it was due to a combination head gasket and lower intake gasket. My delima is whether or not to take the heads to the machine shop to have them checked and valves re-seated. I have 205000 miles on my 1997 Malibu. I have cleaned the heads and have not seen anything noticably wrong but wanted some input as to the reliability of the 3.1 heads.

Well, Since I redid the heads they are working like if it was almost like a new car
