Monogram's Mustang GTP
Hi,
Anybody has experience with this kit (or the other Mustang GTP derivatives)?

It is a pretty decent kit. The decals are very brittle and do not respond to solvents. The front wheels fit pretty tight in the fender openings. Needs some decent taillights. I used Krylon Regal Blue for the blue areas over top of Krylon white. I painted the wheel spokes black then let thoroughly dry and dry brushed gold over spokes. Try a hot towel or cloth to get the decals to lay down. Also to make the front end accurate you need to scratch build the dividers in the air intake and leave out the solid plastic insert.

DITTO!!
It's one of Revell/Monogram's better late 80's kits. It has decent details throughout (do add the diverters) and is pretty accurate to the real car. |

Hmm... sounds interesting... Thanks
I'll go hunt for them on ebay. Anybody has a completed model pic?

This kit was re-released a few years ago, so don't pay the ebay premium. I ended up cutting the bottom apart as it assembles into a clam shell style affair and the pieces didn't match up too well. I've got a pic or two of a built 7-11 verison somewhere. Ended up painting the stripes over the opened louvers.
