90 gt trans need help

i have a 90 gt 5.0 and it won't leave reverse, the shifter can be in park, N D, doesn't matter it still goes in reverse, also the shifter slides from R-D very easily no clicking, anyone got an idea??

Stock shifter or aftermarket? Sounds like a bad cable adjustment. Did this just happen all of a sudden or is this an issue that was present when you bought the car? We need more details.

No clue what is wrong with it. However, I do have a AOD out of my '91 LX 5.0 that would be good for parts or a great candidate for a rebuild. The OD belt is broken but only has 90K miles on it.
