tranny problems

k so august last year i had my tranny worked on by chrysler... they had to completely overhaul my tranny and give me a new torque converter.. i only paid 100 bucks rest was covered under the 70,000 mile factory warranty... well yesterday it started doing the same shit all over again.its throwing a code for the TCM (transmission control module) a certified mechanic friend of mine told me that theres 2 things that could happen depending on which tcm it is...
1. it will lock itself in 1st gear sooner or later.
2. check engine light will be on but will never notice a thing...

now its also throwing a code for my crank postion sensor.. could that be whats messin with my car and not the tcm?

Re: tranny problems

What are the current, history and/or freeze-frame codes? Limp mode is 2nd gear only.

Crank sensor can have an effect on the transmission. The car starts on the crank sensor then the engine runs on the cam sensor once syncronized, so to speak. But transmission still needs crank sensor. They like to fail once warmed up. If there is a crank sensor code, that needs to me addressed first.
