Ac compressor leaking
I have a 96 S10 Blazer with 4 wheel drive 4.3 litre engine. The compressor has a leak between the back plate and the compressor itself. Is there a seel around there. I dont see one on the exploded view in Alldata. The only seal I see is the front seel behind the clutch the o rings where the hoses connect and an o ring for the high pressure cut off mounted in the back plate. I replace the o ring and the switch because I thought it was leaking by that o ring but the dye shows up all the way around the connection between the back plate and compresor. Any ideas?

Re: Ac compressor leaking
If the compressor itself is leaking it may be time for a new compressor.
There is a seal on the case half but sometimes you can never get them to seal up. Most parts places have a line of New or rebuilt compressor at a good price. Google AC-Kits.com For some good info on them. MT
