Tranny fluid change

I just changed my tranny fluid and filter, i am just wondering how many quarts of tranny fluid you are supposed to put in because i cannot find a dipstick. I have a 2001 2.4L

You will need between 6-8 qts. There is a 7/16 plug on the passenger side of the trans above the pan next to the axle. Put 6 qts in start the car run it through the gears ending back in park, pull the plug out. Slowly add fluid until it just starts drip out. Put the plug back in and drive around for 5-10mins and pull the plug again the flow should increase if not add more ATF untill it does. DO not over tighten the plug 70 inch lbs is plenty. Also this must be done on level ground with the car level also so you can't have it on jack stands.
