Re: ecu coding problem?

i finally got it to work but now the engine light stays on..doesn't blink or anything? Would that be considered a 0 on the code list?

Re: ecu coding problem?

was your light on before? if it wasn't on before you were not having any codes pop.

Re: ecu coding problem?

did you jump the service connector? and you wasted money buyin that tool for your car. you can check the codes with a thin wire and your eyes.

Re: ecu coding problem?

ok... disconnect the battery for 10 mins... then star the car like normal and let it warm up... if theres no CEL youre good, no need to try and pull codes, if the CEL comes on, shut the car off, jump the service conncetor to put it in diagnostic mode and throw away that useless code reader and read the flashes... if your ECU was fried your car wouldnt run.

Re: ecu coding problem?

ok so assuming you are throwing a 0.. which is an ECU code. borrow a friends ecu and try that. if it works then get a new ecu.
