Unhappy Front Stabilizer Bar broken

My front stabilizer bar is broken, one of the tabs on the passenger side has cracked and come off. The dealer want 279$ for a new one *ouch* !

I would love to order this set from gmpartsdirect http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...ber=pk12456148
but they only ship to the US, not to Canada where I am

None of my local scrap yards have any...does anyone know a place that WILL ship to canada, or a even a Canadian company that sells them

Thanks !

-Steve

Re: Front Stabilizer Bar broken

This is a common problem with the stock sway bars. Mine broke on the drivers side and replaced it with one from SLP. I don't know if they ship to Canada but you can try. Also try Rock-auto.com or go to Moradpartscompany.com. Ed Morad should be able to get you a used one for a good price. A couple of other places are andysautosport.com and PFYC.com.

Re: Front Stabilizer Bar broken

SLP dont seem to stock the part, nor do they ship to Canada. PFYC do ship up here but there parts are quite expensive. Rockauto is usually my first choice, but i guess sway bars are too large to warrant them shipping, and dont stock them. No luck with the other companies you mentioned.

I found the part i want however, a company called onlyfactoryparts.com, they have them for 103$ and ship to Canada for a very reasonable rate.

On a side note, using Rockauto to ship up here is great. They include the proper customs documents when you ship ground, so all the duties and import fees are covered. And they usually have the lowest prices around..matched with the awesome exchange rate the canadian $ is getting now against the US$...saved me a bunch on more than one occasion.
