XF Fairmont Heater doesnt work
Hi guys,
My XF fairmont heater has stopped working properly, i watched the valve on the heater hose and it opens and shuts as you turn the temp knob on the dash, but the air doesn't get any hotter. Its freeezing as normal when the temp knob is on cold and then when turned to full hot there is a little heat usually dissapated by the fan but not like it used to be. Any ideas would be really helpful - I just hope I don't have to pull the dash apart cause I hate that job lol thanks, tony opcorn:

Re: XF Fairmont Heater doesnt work
You have 2 heater hoses going through the firewall. Disconnect them from the heater box and back flush the heater core with a garden hose. You will get a lot of gunk out of your heater core. If that doesn't work replace the thermostat. Is the engine warming up?
