Exclamation 95 4Runner Speed Meter

My Speed Meter is going crazy it jumps from 0-90 and just keeps moving at all time even if am only going like 40MPH. How can I fix it?
Also my OIL meter always marks LOW. Why?
Can these 2 problems be re-lated?
Please Help!

Re: 95 4Runner Speed Meter

Your Speedometer will probably have to be replaced.
Your Oil Pressure is Low if it's showing low, check to see you have enough oil in your engine and if it's still reading low you may have to replace the Oil Pressure Switch OR You could have engine Problems.
Get them both checked to be sure, thats what I would do, I hope this helps, Good Luck.

Re: 95 4Runner Speed Meter

Your speedometer may be a bit loose is all. Take off the dash moulding on the drivers side and then remove the pannel by reaching back and removing the two sensor plugs and check the speedo plug, maybe it's loose maybe it needs replacing. As for the oil guage, is it low all the time or does it go low when your driving? Mine is mid way when the engine is full and cold but as the temperature goes up the pressure guage goes down a bit. It floats between 1/4 and 1/2 and that's fine, as the oil gets warm it gets a bit thin, better to be low pressure than high.

Can't say that OzzyO is wrong or anything, just another opinion, I'm not a mechanic just an inquiring mind.
