need help new windstar owner(couple issues)
I recently aquired a ford windstar and neither the driver side or passanger side windows will roll down, the back vent windows however do open with their respective switches. I have checked all the fuses in both fuse boxes and all fuses are okay. any help in this would be great. also i have a strange ticking sound coming from inside the dash. it is always constant as long as the car is in run, and if you swich the temp control to the red side the ticking sound will lessen but when you switch it back to the blue (cool) side the ticking gets louder- thanks totally confused. Also the gas gauge does not work but all other gauges work. Any help in any of these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Re: need help new windstar owner(couple issues)
Anytime you have weird electrical gremlins lurking, start by cleaning the battery terminals and ground wires. Poor grounds can make everything act strange. I think you might have more going on than this, but you have to eliminate the grounding issue before you can proceed to diagnose the problem.

Re: need help new windstar owner(couple issues)
The ticking sound coming from the dash could be from the temp selector actuator being bad. do a search on this forum and you will find info on this.
