function of wires to master cyl. '01 se

What can be bad if the wire plug was disconnected from socket to master cyl. on '01 SE 3.1L for about 2 months time? The abs worked ok, what is this connection part of?

Are you referring to the master cylinder reservoir? If so, most likely the brake fluid level sensor.
