Identifying a 630 CS (Karmann)

Hello,

I found this forum just now, but figured this would be a good place to ask a couple of questions related to the early 6-models made by Karmann in Osnabrück.

I have found one that is offered for sale, but I've read from German pages that these early models have been sometimes counterfeited. Apparently someone thinks they might have collectible potential...

Therefore, I'd be very grateful on any tips on how to securely identify a genuine 630 CS. I have checked every detail I could find (Karmann plate, chrome-framed window-lift switches, plastic shitfer knob, windshield washer fluid tubes instead of nozzles) and they all add up. I have the VIN number, but I haven't checked it yet.

The vehicle seems to be almost rust-free (a rarity on these latitudes), runs OK and has relatively low miles so I'm quite tempted. Any other helpful information and tips would be appreciated as well.
