M3 ofcourse. Not sure about the performance, but it sure looks better, and Porsche is just tasteless.

For the price of the E30 M3 you could get a 944T which will beat the E30 in every respect... except maybe feel but thats objective. I love both cars though cant go wrong with either.
What are your goals for the car? Because if your thinking just fun then I would say M3, the feel and the sound of the S14 is hard to beat. But if you want all out speed then the 951 would be the better choice. FWI I plan on adding a E30 M3 to my stable also.
