My 1990 Caprice 305 t.b.i is leaking oil from the back of the engine, it is running downthe right hand side of the tranny and block. and dripping off right near the Cat. Converter Is this an intake gasket leak. I also was curious
if it was possible to be the distributor seal, it is to tight to see perfectly what it is. Any suggestions??? |

Re: Distributor or Intake
It could also be the valve cover gasket.
Your best bet is to clean off effected area and watch(w/mirror?)where it is coming from. HTH |

Re: Distributor or Intake
Mine is leaking a bit out of the rear seal on the intake. I suppose one of these days when I'm not too lazy, I'll rectify it. Until then, I'll put a quart of oil in it every other month and clean it then.

Re: Distributor or Intake
Mine smokes like crazy and is covering the whole back of the tranny as well as the starter motor. The smoke is from the cat. converter burning it off. Just was curious.
