how do you become a moderator? Just wondering

Currently we have no openings, in fact we have an excess of moderators. So how does one go about becoming a moderator? Right now, they don't.

I have no idea, I think the mods ask people when they need em. Personally I think I would be a good moderator cause im on here a lot, but ami (ladynredsi) thinks otherwise, so ive decided to stop trying.

What is the big deal with being a moderator?
 I just like coming here and hanging out with my 4th gen buddies and talking about my car. I don't really want the responsibility of policing the forums :silly2:
