2001 montana with heater problems

my blower motor will stop and start sometimes and when it stops my display in the over head consol will go black.just wondering if they are linked togeather or do i have bigger problems then the blower motor..........thanks for any help..........chevylover123

Welcome to the forum!

If you take a look at the page link below and scroll down to fuse # 46, you will see that it is used to supply power to both the heater-A/C Control and the Driver Information Center (DIC) display.

GM Minivan Fuses

That doesn't mean that the fuse is necessarily going bad. There could be dirt in the fuse sockets, or the wiring could be in question. Many "strange electrical problems" in the vans have been discovered when the wiring around the front passenger side floorboards are involved. That could be the case here too.

I would check where the fuse plugs in first, looking for signs of dirt of a loose connection. Then I would take a peak under the carpet on the passenger side to see if any wiring has been damaged.
