Exclamation 99 Burb Problem After Installing Radio

After having someone install a new radio, now my a/c only blows hot air and my brake and signal lights don't work. Thinking its an electrical problem. I have changed the relays and still it doesn't work. Does anyone have a solution?? PLEASE HELP!!

Check all fuses.

Re: 99 Burb Problem After Installing Radio

Dude what happened is your installer cut into the wrong wires for power. Remove your radio find the red and yellow wires coming of it and trace them back to the wires from the truck. the yellow wire is your ign. wire the red is your batt wire. If these aren't connected to the same colored wires the they'll create a current to other devices giving you the problems you stated. Sometimes there is more then 1 red or yellow wire on the truck. If this is the case the try connecting your radio power wire to a diffrent wire. Hope this helps.

Re: 99 Burb Problem After Installing Radio

hopefully who ever installed the radio disconnected the battery before trying to install it>>> I fried the the controls on my suburban about 2 years ago ouch ( $250 from junk yard ) it is pretty easy to do when i was putting it back together did not pay attention to the rca connections slid it back in... all I saw was a puff of smoke come up. all of my functions worked but one A/C... if you paid money from a shop thats why they carry insurance all you have to do now is make them pay for it

hope I am not leading you in a wrong direction
