Hey guys! I was just browsing the internet and came across this forum. I am a complete noob on cars and I know pretty much next to nothing. I have a problem and was hoping that someone might tell me what it could possible be. The other day I left my fog lights on and that completely killed my battery. After 2 hours of trying to jump the car I realize that it was maybe time to buy a new battery. So me and my friend unscrewed everything and replaced the old battery with the new and put back all the wires(i think) to the original location. My problem is when I am driving, idling, parking, or applying the brakes I hear this very loud and annoying clicking noise that goes on for a few seconds (it kinda sounds like a wood pecker). I never had anything wrong with my car and it never made this sound before only until after I swapped batteries. Do you guys have any idea of what it might be? I don't want to take it to a shop if it's just a minor issue that can be fixed by myself. Could it possibly be some wiring issues? Thanks for taking your time to read this.
oh yeah I also have a problem with my brakes, I changed the brake pads like 3-4 months ago from a tune up and now I hear hardcore squeeling and a loud click when I apply the brakes. I also hear a faint squeeling sound when im driving 5-10mph. Could it be that the brake pads are worn out already and that I sould get new ones?
Again thanks to those for reading.
