Arrow If You Had $1000, What Would You Do?

Alright, just a pretty simple, fairly straightforward question here:

If you had $1000 (Canadian that is, so about $936.42 for the Americans), what parts would you buy?

-The vehicle in question here is a bone-stock '98 Sunfire GT (2.4L LD9), 5-Speed
-As far as the parts, we're not looking to set land speed records or win a race to the moon, just something to make driving around town and to the in-laws a little/lot more exciting and to make the car a little/lot more solid all around.
-It doesn't all have to be powertrain-performanced based either. If you would spend a chunk on ditching the craptastic OEM struts, then that's cool too.
-I want it to be a continual project car too, so if you would spend this first bought of cash on parts that would lead to future changes, rock on.
-If you have any references to specific brands or shops you would get the add-ons from, please feel free to include those.
-Last but not least, please don't say "ADD A TURBO!!!!!". I know that's the solution to everything in life, but for this car, we're trying to stick to all motor.

Thank you to everyone for their time, and I'll be anxiously awaiting your replies.

Chad

Re: If You Had $1000, What Would You Do?

i like these, LOL.
all the prices will be american and my best guess.
Setup 1 - e-bay intake and K&N filter (100), header (250), Custom Exhaust (150), Hi Flow Cat (150), TTR upper, Lower, and tranny mounts (290)
Total 940 american 4 bucks over budget.

Setup 2 - Eibach Pro Kit (210), KYG GR-2 Struts & Shocks (240), Eibach Anti-Roll Kit (300), Stock Conv. Front Strut bar (50), Mantapart Rear Strut Tower Brace (95), Ebay intake (30)
Total 925 - leaves you 11 bucks for fuel

Yes, intake, exhaust would be good, then get strut bars, headers if you want more performance, or suspension, if not both...

Have you ever owned/used/known somebody who has owned/used the KYG replacements? If so, any feedback on those?
