help

hey im lost i have a 1984 fiero SE and the fan will turn on when the a/c is turned on but it will not come on when the temperature increses

Well, a stock temp fan switch will turn your fan on when the temp reaches 224-235 degrees F. If you know it's running hot and still won't engage you probably need a new fan switch. It's located on the engine. Fierostore.com has them and they also sell low temp fan switches that will engage your fan at lower temps. They also have illustrated diagrams of where they are located on your engine.

yah thanks.. we have tried a lot to get it to turn on so we just put a toggle switch to make a direct connecttion to turn it on

I did both the low temp switch from the Fiero store and I used the green with white stripe wire for a 20amp rocker switch to ground the fan out.

No problems with over heating now!

P.S. Don't forget to turn the switch on if you didn't replace the old sensor. I did mine as an alternative if the sensor failed again.
